What are flow arts?

Flow arts are movement-based practices that involve controlling and manipulating props through repeated, rhythmic patterns.

Common flow props include hoops, poi, staffs, fans, juggling tools, silk props, and flow stars. Each prop has its own techniques, but they all encourage the performer to connect movement, timing, and creativity.

Some people practise flow arts as a form of dance or performance. Others use them for recreation, exercise, skill development, or relaxation.
